Oak logs are bought on site from local loggers and then milled at Troutman Chair’s own sawmill making them one of the last vertically integrated furniture manufacturers in the United States. The wood is cut to dimension, stacked, and dried. Due to the nature of construction no glue is to be found in a Troutman product. In a time when a good deal of furniture manufacturing is being done overseas, Troutman Chair Company feels a sense of pride in knowing that they are seeing to the continuation of a true southern tradition; promoting rocking on the porch and manufacturing rockers the time honored quality way of old master craftsman.
